Reagan was arguably the most persuasive and inspirational president of our time and he used that God-given gift to spread his spiritual beliefs. This was never more evident than when he addressed the nation to comfort and provide hope after the tragedy of the space shuttle challenger saying “The future doesn't belong to the fainthearted; it belongs to the brave ... We will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them, as they prepared for their journey and waved goodbye and "slipped the surly bonds of Earth" to "touch the face of God.”
