Strange events unfolded in the city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 2005. The Wu family began experiencing what they believed to be a divine—or alternatively, demonic—presence in their bodies. To exorcise the demons from the family members, rituals were performed, including incantations and the forced consumption of feces. Ultimately, these events took a tragic turn, resulting in the death of one family member.
