We kick off our first annual Listener Request Summer with Saber Interactive's Inversion, a third person shooter from 2012 looking to distinguish itself with an earth-shattering gimmick.
Inversion follows Davis and Leo, two policemen in Vanguard City, as their lives are turned upside down by a sudden catastrophic invasion by an unknown and monstrous enemy. Like you'd expect from grizzled video game protagonists, it's up to Davis and Leo to turn their opponents' gravity manipulating technology against them and hopefully save...well, not the world, but like one specific person. Davis and Leo have a bit of tunnel vision.
That may sound like a pretty basic shooter premise and well, it is. Inversion put a lot of effort into cool gravity-based combat gimmicks but the writing? Well, tune in to find out.
