Lucy Laidlaw is a communications, marketing and community engagement consult based in East Lothian and working with a wide array of rural businesses supporting them to share their message, connect meaningfully and make an impact. From the juggle of raising boisterous boys to the joy of dopamine dressing we cover it all in this conversation.
Join us as Lucy takes us on her journey to today. A traditional journey from school to university and into a career inspired by her parents before embracing the opportunity for a rural job at the Buccleuch Estate and ultimately jumping in to business ownership to support the juggle of family life during Covid. We talk, perhaps unsurprisingly, about the importance of good communication, of community and what that means for business.
If you’ve met Lucy, you’ll know she is always fabulously dressed from bright lipstick to brilliant dresses and pom poms in there too so we chat about this too - confidence, dopamine dressing and the switch that flicked at forty. Filled with laughter, this is a feel good episode you don’t want to miss!
The Women in Wellies Podcast is sponsored by Scottish Law firm, Gillespie Macandrew, advising on all areas of land & rural business, private client, energy and real estate.
