It’s a well-known fact that Innocence can be deceiving. And this is very much the fact in southeastern Alaska. Behind a pair of big brown eyes lurks a creature spoken of in hushed tones at the feet of grandmothers and around campfires. By turns malicious and mischievous, helpful and harmful, the Tlingit people know never to let their guard down when an eerie whistle sounds across the water. But is this truly a supernatural creature, or is it a simple cautionary tale to keep naughty children in check? Tonight, on Uncanny America, join us as we go in search of the Kushtaka.
