The bird boys are back with a very casual episode to kick off the new year! In this episode, we chat about a bunch of random nonsense including what we did over the holidays, Omicron, our friends and family catching the virus, being trapped inside but doing pretty well creatively, Otis talks about working on and scoring his first film, the horrible job the Ontario provincial government is doing lately and Doug Ford being a sentient chicken meatball, getting used to being in a lockdown this time around, and more.

Plus, we break down what we’ve been watching, listening to, and playing. Otis chats about Jackie Chan’s “Police Story” and jokes that have aged poorly. PALMREADER talks about the insanity of “Euphoria” and how it oscillates between horniness, drug use, and existential despair. You know, the usual life of a teenager. Plus, we muse on the HBO television formula and what being a teenager is really like. We also ask why studios keep releasing movies exclusively in theatres in Canada while the pandemic is still going on and bemoan the fact that neither of us has seen “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. Plus, Otis is finally watching “Deadwood” and PALMREADER is overjoyed, PALMREADER loves “Queer Eye” but Otis hates makeover shows, people not realizing that entertaining is a job and are wrong for feeling entitled to their time immediately after a show.

We also discuss some new music! Our homie Whensday dropped his EP “Complicated” that Otis gave his smoke session approval, Earl Sweatshirt’s new album “SICK!”, Cordae might be market correcting old J.
