This week we have another fantastic Madison leader, Saran Ouk. Saran is the Office of Business Resources Manager for the City of Madison’s Economic Development Division where she currently helps guide the City’s post-COVID recovery efforts to support businesses most negatively impacted and she overseas business programs and initiatives with an equity lens.

She is also the Founder and CEO of a nonprofit and LLC. Her nonprofit, conNEXTions and LLC, Dream Bigger empowers people to achieve their financial, career and entrepreneurial dreams. She has a bachelors degree from UW-Madison in Community Nonprofit Leadership, is a graduate of the Associates in Commercial Real Estate (ACRE) program out of Milwaukee, and was named one of InBusiness 40 Under 40 in 2021.

Saran has over 15 years of experience in the financial institution industry and uses her financial knowledge to create curriculums and workshops to help underrepresented young adults and those from low-income communities make good financial decisions, and educate the community on how to build generational wealth.
