Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Beth Rose of Beth Rose Photography. We took a deep dive into what it means to live out your faith in your chosen profession. My husband calls me Hummingbird because I am hyper - I suppose - and I eat a lot. It started before I would date him when he was trying to catch me; he said one day I would have to land. Now five children and a little over a decade later, I have. But still only for moments.

I’ve been a photographer for over 20 years. I started with film and in the darkroom. There are so many things inherent in film - an honesty that comes with the limits of it. That honesty is what I value in photography. Looking at a painting, you can question how much of it came from the artist’s imagination and how much is real. Photography is different. If you see it, it happened.
