Episode 5: Criminal Profiling - Wrestlin' with Ressler

Listen Later

Informal criminal profiling can be traced as far back as the Middle Ages when inquisitors attempted profiling heretics. It has been officially traced to the 1880s during the Jack the Ripper case. Profiling is described as a method of suspect identification, which seeks to identify a person’s mental, emotional, and personality characteristics based on things done or left at the crime scene, or “Behavior reflects personality.”
