When God tells you to build, the old version of you can’t come along for the ride.

It’s time to cut off the head of your former self—the thoughts of doubt, poverty, illness, fear, and rebellion—and walk in the authority that’s already been given to you.

From Strong’s 607 (Greek: apokephalizó) to 2 Corinthians 10 and Matthew 7, we see a divine mandate: decapitate doubt, renew your mind, and build on the rock.

This one’s not soft. This one is war.

Affirmations:

I take every thought captive.

I cut off every lie that doesn’t align with God’s truth.

I build on the rock, not the sand.

I walk in divine authority.

My foundation is firm.

I am wise. I am bold. I am called.

The old me has no voice here.

Prayer:

Father God, thank You for Your word that convicts, corrects, and commissions. We come before You ready to cut off what no longer serves Your plan—old mindsets, toxic loops, and unhealed lies.

We thank You that through Jesus we have authority to speak, move, build, and conquer.

May we never build on sand again. Give us the wisdom to obey, the faith to act, and the boldness to lead.

The old us is gone. The new us builds on the Rock.

In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
