In the first four lessons we examined the following scale degrees: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. They were organized according to harmonic structures (chords). The C5 (1, 5), the C (1, 3, 5), the Csus2 (1, 2, 5), and the Csus4 (1, 4, 5). We are now going to track these chords in our solo lines. This means you have to 1, know what the changes are; 2, know where you are in each measure; and 3, organize your lines according to the prevailing chord. Listen to my podcasts for free, but in order to get the most out of my lessons I suggest downloading my PDF practice sheets and MP3 backing tracks on my Patreon with a $5/month subscription. Your subscription will give YOU the tools needed to become confident as a musician and afford ME the financial resources to create more podcast lessons. https://www.patreon.com/conceptsforimprovisation
