This is the first episode in a series we've labeled Healing Happens. In this series, we will have authentic conversations surrounding all avenues of life. These conversations will cover a wide range of topics and will not follow any outlines. We, in the New Dream Collective, know just how powerful simple, yet sometimes hard conversations can be and how much healing they can bring when we walk into them. We want to share some in the hopes they reach those who could use the knowledge, validation, support or just a simple reminder that they aren't alone. In this episode, I'm joined with my lovely niece Brenna Nowak and we talk about our experiences living in the same family, how they shaped us, what we took with us into adulthood, and highlight the fact that even though we went through some of the same experiences, we perceived them very differently. A beautiful reminder that many can go through the same things, but there are endless possibilities of how it will affect someone and there is no "right or wrong". Just authentically different which is one of the beautiful things that makes life interesting!
