Episode 5: How to End the Campaign

Everybody talks about how to win elections. Nobody talks about what happens when you lose one.

And after the 2020 election cycle, we are reminded that losing is just as important an aspect of our democracy as winning.

I am a former candidate, speechwriter, and PAC director. Together, for the first time, we will be revealing the untold stories of how candidates and movements process loss and what they do in its aftermath. We will be telling stories of finding hope and love even in our darkest hours.

I hope this series will be instructive to prospective, current, and former candidates for public office, those engaged in our political system in other capacities, and all others interested in a fuller picture of how our politics works, told by those who have lived its highest highs and lowest lows.
