By delegating, CEOs can make the most of each hour of the workday. Self-assess where to best allocate your time and skillset. Our Podcast Tip of the Week: If employees are leaving work earlier than the CEO, then not enough delegating is going on!
For CEOs, the challenge of delegating is a critical, daily struggle to correctly manage and prepare for corporate and employee growth. Here’s how to find the right balance between doing and leading to growing your business:

1.       minimize micromanaging—consider the opportunity cost; allow the workforce to develop & grow

2.       identify the work to delegate; ask your team for feedback

3.       pinpoint fails (e.g., lack of clarification) and promote communication & training with customized tools, resources, and coaching

CEOs, ask yourselves these questions: Which work should I delegate? How do I learn to delegate effectively? How do I avoid 'just doing it myself'?

Tip: Nurture a motivating workplace environment that tolerates (initial) mistakes and promotes creative approaches.

Dr. Michael Troyer and Anna Steinfest dig deep to reveal how to find the right balance when delegating in the workplace with the goal to grow your business. Helpful solutions are at hand in our ABC Podcast: Lessons in Success, Episode 5: Learning to Delegate.
