Their 1989 album, The Pledge, represented a turning point in both Christian rock music and MK's feelings about his faith. Ian explains his deeply rooted skepticism of Speaking in Tongues, and Kathy waxes rhapsodic about inappropriate music videos for rock songs that preach the gospel.
