STATISTICS & MORE INFO:
All the stats I talk about in this episode are thanks to rainn.org/statistics. I also reference this resource about sexual violence in the transgender community by the Human Rights Campaign, this article by Amnesty International about sexual violence in the native American and Indigenous community in the United States, as well as this article by Psychology Today.

I wanted to talk about this for a long time, and it's been weighing a little heavy on my mind, so we're talking about sexual assault and rape, statistics around sexual assault, and I'm sharing a little bit about my story with sexual assault. This is a bit scary for me to talk about, but as I say in the episode, I think it's important to destigmatize sexual assault so victims and those affected can get the help they need. I probably left a lot out and didn't say things right, but I hope you listen to this episode with an open heart and a compassionate ear, and continue to advocate for people in your friend group and in your community. If you listen to this episode, I really appreciate it.
P.S. I'm changing up the format of the following episodes (and still trying to figure it out) so please stay tuned! Not every episode from here on out is going to be this serious, but I want to discuss more things past just film and TV because I have a lot of interests! Thanks as always for listening.

I Care So Much is a one person podcast helmed by your host, Andrea. I talk about a lot of things, including movies & TV shows, music and books, and everything else in between from relationships and bad dates to social justice and politics. I talk about why I care about these things, what exactly it is about these things that I like, and why maybe you should care too.
