A trend for prioritising self love has lead to an explosion of different techniques we’re told to do regularly to lead a happy and fulfilling life from journaling to vision boards to writing daily gratitudes. Some of these techniques have benefits to mental health  and wellbeing proven through extensive research whereas others have less evidence. However without learning more about them or trying them all out, it’s easy to be cynical about whether they can actually help you. Do they really work? If so, in what way and how can we fit them into our lives?
