In our fifth episode, the fun finders explore what can only be called the 9/11 of the magical girl demon corruption romcom genre - Machikado Mazoku (The Demon Girl Next Door), one of the more popular recent Kirara offerings with a second season on the way. Faced with a series with things like 'actual narrative stakes' and 'character development', we discuss whether the usual Kirara analysis method applies to the show, as well as the highs, lows, and surprising social commentary of a series that would feel equally at home in either Shounen Jump or Yuri Hime.
Note: After the intermission, Ranka's audio gets kinda choppy. No clue what happened! Sorry about that! Won't happen again we promise <3
