What is it like to be a Civil Procedure professor during a pandemic? Let alone a student learning to be a 1L? After repeated and strong requests from students in the fall of 2020, and in an effort to foster Dr. Mike Osterholm's "Pandemic of Kindness," Professor Franck created this podcast to offer her Section 2 students some reflections on life during a pandemic. Special thanks go to all musicians (and their recording labels), particularly Taylor Swift and Kate Herzig for the fair use of their music for our educational purposes.
This podcast focuses on my pedagogy, trying to help you understand why I teach the way I teach (with a focus on Civ Pro in particular). It also identifies the four core metrics that I am always shooting for as well as identifying what I think of as the five-stage process of learning a topic, to help manage your expectations about learning and life.
