Welcome back to the Energy Sessions! This week our Skills for Energy (SfE) Manager Gabby Waterman is joined by Alison Copeman, Careers Leader at Sir John Leman High School.
Gabby and Alison discuss SfE’s Young Energisers programme pilot, and why it is so important for students in the region to be aware of the opportunities available within STEM, alongside how students found the session.
The pair also discuss why it’s vital that employers within the industry engage with students now, to prepare the East of England’s local workforce for future challenges as well as encouraging more diversity within the sector.
