By request, this week I sat down with Shawn owner and operator of The Brooklyn Pizza Company and The Seymour Brewing Co.

Shawn runs a couple of great small businesses in Seymour, but I was really more interested in his involvement in the community. Most people that are as active as Shawn rarely want to talk about what they do and I really want to thank Shawn for his willingness to share his story.

Shawn was inspired as a child by his grandparents, and even with his busy life he manages not only support local organizations financially, but also giving his time. He is an inspiration to me and I think we can all take something away from this talk.

There are opportunities to volunteer for many organizations that help those in need in Seymour. What are some other great volunteer opportunites in Seymour this year?
