Episode 5: Sleep Training 101

Kjersti and Kristi discuss different methods of sleep training, and what worked and didn't work in their personal situations.  In this episode you'll hear personal anecdotes, tips, and advice regarding sleep-training for babies.  The sleep training methods mentioned are:  

  • Cry it out (extinction) Co-sleep
  •  “The Wave” (check and console, offer soothing as needed, but in order of least intrusion). 
  • Ferber Method (check and console, don’t feed/hold).
  • “Chair method” (gradually remove your presence from the room). 
  • Bedtime Routine Fading (fade out the amount of time you spend doing the soothing fall-asleep activities).
