As a self-proclaimed addict to the "next best thing", I decided to take matters into my own hands and do some research on why we're never satisfied with what we have right in front of us. Although I may not have found all the right answers, I did discover the idea of "destination addiction" and that feels like a good start. It's nice to be able to put a name to a feeling. The feeling of always wanting more out of life.
I actually already talked about this on Instagram, so check out that post here.
Check out more from Robert Holden, the guy who actually coined the term.
Do you resonate with anything I discussed in this episode? I love talking about this stuff, so feel free to reach out to me via Instagram or email to talk all about it!
