Show Notes

 EPISODE 5:

Intro/ Premise of the show:

Hello, I’m budding cozy novelist, Etta Welk, alongside my chirpy mother, Deb. Each week, we’ll explore cozy and traditional mystery books, series, authors, origins, culture, or tropes, but we’ll keep it short and sweet, just like a real cozy.

Remember friends this podcast attempts to be SPOILERLESS! So we keep things broad and light. And we occasionally jab the cozy genre. We obviously really like cozies so don’t take it too seriously. No previous reading is required. You’re reading cozies, we’re reading cozies, just not the same cozies.

This is episode 5.

Update

·        Getting ready for Camp NaNoWriMo with a few of my fellow Sisters In Crime Guppies Chapter members. We have a great turn out for our virtual cabin and I’m so excited!

·        Greg had a minor procedure and we ordered Direct TV. It doesn’t really work… Started Hello Fresh weekly meals and there were missing/duplicate items. Such a bummer!

·        Deb? How have you been doing this past week?

Format of the show:  Question and Answer session. One of us will pose a weekly question that we both answer. We’re reading cozies, you’re reading cozies, but we’re not reading the same cozies… so NO SPOILERS!

QUESTION:  What are your favorite elements in a cozy?

Setting? Hobby? Pets? Paranormal? What keeps you running back to a series?

What we’re reading: Etta- Protocol (A Maggie O’Malley Series) by Kathleen Valenti
