Far from returning to work after his recent medical procedure, Dr. Benny Spritzer finds himself seeking solid ground within the comfort of his suburban home. But the underlying static of his world refuses to quiet down. When he retreats to his five-year-old daughter Brit’s room for a moment of family sanctuary, a seemingly routine glitch in her high-end animatronic toy, Lurr, turns into an unsettling anomaly.
What begins as an expensive automated babysitter acting out of sync, rapidly evolves into something much more ominous. As the plush companion begins cycling through unprogrammed behaviors and repeating an eerie, cryptic phrase into the dark, Benny is forced to confront a chilling realization: the digital ecosystem around his family may be fracturing, and a warning has just been issued.
