In today’s episode, we’re talking all about a game-changing piece of legislation, Victoria’s Gender Equality Act (The Act). Dr Niki Vincent, the Commissioner for Gender Equality in the Public Sector in Victoria joins us as our very special guest to explain exactly what you need to know about the Act and how to apply a gendered lens to all that you do.
Though the Act specifically relates to entities in the Victorian public sector, universities and councils, as you'll hear, the tools it uses, such as Gender Equality Action Plans (GEAPs) and Gender Impact Assessments (GIAs) are relevant to anyone interested in promoting workplace gender equality through an intersectional lens.
