Julie Amlin Mastrantonio is an artist! If you meet her in person, I believe you will see it instantly as do those of us who know her. If you haven’t met her in person, the next best thing is to check her out on Instagram @julieamlin.art … This woman IS AN ARTIST.

But it’s only recently that she has been able to claim that identity, and really step into its power. Her journey to arriving here now as a full-time artist and muralist is the focus of our conversation today. We have a candid discussion about limiting beliefs, the influences of the people and environments in which we grow up on our perception of what’s possible for us and the toll mothering can take on a woman’s creative mojo.

The twists and turns in Julie’s journey mirror my own in that her path to following her inspiration has been no straight line! But also like my own, each step has taken her closer to the place she stands today: strong and confident in her identity as an artist and muralist.
