On this 50th episode of The Unscathed Life podcast, I have the delightful Noble Ijay with me on the show. Noble Ij is a Licensed Middle School Technology Engineering teacher, a mental health advocate and a youth/teens mentor.
As the Founder and CEO of a non-governmental organisation called The Beautifully Broken Me, she empowers and equips teens and young adults to fully understand their Identity so they can live as originally intended by God. She is also a passionate domestic violence advocate as a result of her personal experience on the subject.
On the show, Noble Ij chronicles her harrowing experience of being in an abusive marriage with her ex-husband of 7 years. We discuss some of the early signs there were problems in the relationship, to the cycles of abuse she endured, as well as the overall impact of the trauma on her mental health and wellbeing which led to her attempt to take her own life.
In a great climax to the episode Noble Ijay shares extensively on what I can only describe as a masterclass on healing and forgiveness. She explains that in order for a person who is hurt to move forward, they must forgive the offender for themselves and avoid the temptation of staying stuck in the pain of permanently nursing their trauma.
In very practical steps Noble Ijay shares how important it is to be intentional about healing the right way and living purposefully afterwards. Today show is a great encouragement to anyone looking to rise beyond hurt and setbacks in relationships to manifest their highest selves.
