A few steps away from the landing was the long corridor that will lead to his unit. There, in a straight row, were five figures in white, sitting on the parapet, all looking at him. 

He froze. 

He stepped back and the putrid, pungent smell hit him fast. He turned to his left
where he thought the young woman was.

In her place, was a gruesome, deformed face of a pontianak. She moved slightly
towards him and he screamed. 

Turning, he literally flew down the stairs, heart pounding crazily.
