On today's episode, we discussed ethical issues regarding the recovery of stolen Mayan art and its importance in today's society. Other famous artworks have also been known to be stolen but still retain their cultural significance in a changing world. However, major consequences can occur if you break the law to pillage artwork. We explored many different solutions to the problem of art smuggling and how museums can positively and ethically impact the recovery of stolen Mayan art from the Pre-Colombian Era without supporting the black-market business.
