Amy is a para-taekwon-do athlete with team GB. However, she actually started in the ITF style and after much success she heard about para-taekwon-do in the WT style and decided to switch over. She has been a World Champion in both styles and is currently ranked World #1 which has earned her qualifications for next years Paralympics. Amy will be aiming to be one of the first Paralympic gold medalists for taekwon-do as this will be the first time taekwon-do will be in the games. Today I chat to Amy about her experiences in both styles, her experiences of both able body and adaptive competition in taekwon-do, being part of team GB, how she's dealing with the Paralympics being pushed back and how it effects her training.
