The second of 4 SuperClash events had what should have been the main event smack dab in the middle of the card. The AWA Title was defended by Nick Bockwinkel against Curt Hennig, years before he would go on to become Mr. Perfect in the WWF. The crazy thing about this match is that Curt played the heel while Nick played the babyface. Also on this card were the Midnight Rockers (Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty), Ray "Crippler" Stevens, "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka, Sherri Martel (before she became "Sensational"), Madusa Miceli (the future Alundra Blayze), and Russ Francis of the San Francisco 49ers. It wasn't a fantastic show, by any means, but it was historic.
