Hello Disney Friends! Welcome to our 5th DisNOT episode! We chose a 90s classic, “Matilda” from 1996. Based on the classic children’s novel by Roald Dahl (Yeah, we don’t know how to pronounce that either) and directed by the infamous Danny Devito, this movie could not be any better. We LOVE the suspense of disbelief one must have for this movie. You truly must have the imagination of a child and look through a child’s eyes to believe this fantasy. In Part 1, you can hear Avery and Joel argue about the songs in this movie(hint: Avery was right). Joel almost ruins this film with an awkward, dramatic pause. Just listen...you’ll hear it. After watching this movie as adults, we couldn’t stop raving about it. Everything was done perfectly. Perfect casting. Perfect acting. Perfect dramatization. Perfect setting. We love everything about this movie! I’m sure you can guess our ratings at the end ;) We also sprinkle some fun facts about how they created the “Trunchbull” look and how they got the children to actually seem scared of her. If you haven’t watched this movie in awhile, now is the time to do it. So please go watch Matilda, then come listen to our podcast! Enjoy!
