Description: Anxiousness and depressive feelings involve rumination in well-worn cognitive defaults and thought patterns. Join Dr. Donna Rockwell as she guides us to mindfulness to help train the mind to return to "present moment awareness" from more discursive thinking. Meditation practices like Riding the Breath, and Gathering Meditation are short, easy, and well suited to calming the mind, body, and spirit. Through insight, joy follows.
As a service to our larger community, Saybrook University is offering a daily mindful moment through May 29, 2020, beginning at 12:15 PM Eastern. Designed to be 15 minutes in length, our Mind-Body Medicine faculty have banded together to provide these sessions as a source of centering and solace in these extraordinary times.
