Thomasina Gatson has over 31 years of experience in education and coaching, with a strong track record of developing successful basketball programs at the secondary and collegiate levels across Texas. Her career began in Houston ISD at Gregory Lincoln Education Center, where she coached girls basketball, volleyball, and soccer.
She later joined Aldine ISD, serving as Head Girls Basketball Coach at Aldine Senior High School after leading successful freshman and junior varsity programs. From 2011–2018, Gatson coached at Lone Star College–North Harris, guiding the men's program to multiple playoff appearances and a conference championship before transitioning to Head Women's Basketball Coach, where she led three playoff seasons.
In 2021, Gatson returned to UIL competition as Head Girls Basketball Coach at Aldine Eisenhower High School, leading a full program rebuild. She currently serves as Head Girls Junior Varsity Basketball Coach in Sheldon ISD.
