Its the beginning of season 5 of California's Gold, and Huell really outdid himself this week. We may be biased however, since were in Kern County visiting the Weedpatch Camp. This labor camp was built to house some of the 1 million migrants who came to California during the dust bowl. Huell and Louie come visit and former residents celebrate the times they shared there and teach the children of the current migrant workers who still call the Arvin Camp home all about those early dust bowl days. This is a classic episode and most definitely a fine example of California's Gold!!
