The words are sometimes thrown around interchangeably, but there is a big difference: a job may earn a living, but a vocation is what you discern to be your personal calling. Choosing whether you have a job or a vocation can make a profound difference in your life.

Janet Plenert has intentionally followed her vocational path for 25 years. Her work with Mennonite Church Canada has been both a job and a vocation. Although she has no intention of changing her vocation, her present ministry with Mennonite Church Canada has drawn to a close. Through Janet's stories of ministry we will explore the expression of her calling in various contexts in Canada and around the world.
