In this episode, we explore the often-overlooked aspects of safety in both aviation and life with Tim Wade, the Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety at Flexjet. Tim shares his insights on the hidden dangers in aviation that can often be missed, and why psychological safety in the workplace is just as critical as physical safety. With a career in aviation dating back to 2007, starting with the Army and working on Apache helicopters, Tim knows the importance of maintaining awareness and fostering a culture of safety.
Tim also talks about the power of the mind and its ripple effect, and how these principles apply both in high-stakes aviation and in our daily work lives. Along the way, he shares some of the personal joys of life, including his love for camping with his family, and how his family’s camper has been a source of unforgettable memories.
