Finally uploading this one after another strong bout of procrastination but hey, at least the audio sounds good this time. The audio is what really matters here because we're covering one of the biggest albums we've done on the show so far and that's Tyler, the Creator's Igor. Igor cemented Tyler as an all around creative force to be reckoned with. Someone who at one point was seen as an edgy internet rapper was now being touted as a generational talent. Winning grammies, selling out tours, getting partnerships, etc. It started to shift with Flower Boy but this album catapulted Tyler into the stratosphere where he's been able to remain since.
The vinyl I have for this album is actually one of the more valuable pieces in my collection. An exclusive standard weight mint green record housed in a standard gatefold package with with some alternate album artwork done by Lewis Rossignol. This version was exclusive to Tyler's merch online merch store for the only 24 hours the day of the album's release and I managed to snag a copy. It sounds great and features a vinyl only track "Boyfriend" which also available on the other pressings.
In the news corner this week we spend most of it talking about Jack and Sharon Osbourne actively trying to profit off the memory of Ozzy in the most ghoulish ways they possibly can, as quickly as they possibly can. We also talk about some of the more insane reactions to Caleb Shomo of Beartooth coming out as gay.
