In Galatians 5:13, the apostle Paul talks about using our freedom to serve. In 1 Peter 2:16, Peter writes this to us: “Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.” We are free, but in this freedom we willingly serve each other and willingly serve God.

 

So, what exactly are the characteristics of a faithful servant? We consider seven ways in which we ought to serve. Additional scriptures referenced include Mark 10:42-45; Romans 1:1; 1 Corinthians 13:1-8; and Romans 8:17.
