He shares his struggles with mainstream Democratic reactions and the challenge of advocating for gun ownership for self-defense among skeptics.

Lewis champions self-defense in protests, and highlights instances where it has been crucial, especially for women. He critiques the idealization of peaceful protests, calling for a more assertive resistance against injustice and stressing the need for solidarity across communities to achieve social justice.
