Howdy Folks, Welcome to The podCAST IRON. My name is Laura Elizabeth Mullen and on this podcast I interview members of the cast iron art community in order to inspire, educate and spread ideas about iron casting and cast iron art. Our guest on today’s episode is Gabe Akagawa. Gabe is a multi media artist based in Chicago Illinois. On top of that Gabe is the person who developed and runs the Foundry Tree Database. Now if you don’t know already, the Foundry Tree is an online resource that documents practitioners within the cast iron community. This database includes information and photographs of individuals as well as institutions linked to the cast iron movement and it’s history.
