Episode 53: The Clinton Greenway Conservation Trust

This week we are joined by members of the Clinton Greenway.

Frannie Hodges and Chris Ebstein joined us to discuss their experiences stewarding a small slice of what was the Massachusetts Central Railroad.

The railorad began in the 1870's and was de-commisioned by the 1960's.  Spans of the former railbed were developed as rail trials as early as the late 1980's in regions west of Clinton and Worcester ocuntry prtions of the trial.

Now in 2021, the Commonwealth of Massachsusetts recognizes the development nad miantinance of rail trials not only as a key resource for atrtracting day trippers, but as a means for daily commuting that reduces the use of automobiles while bringing the scale of communities into a more human footprint.
