After winning DJ competitions in the late 80’s, helping create Perth club culture throughout the 90’s and releasing quality drum’n’bass on LTJ Bukem’s ‘Good Looking Records’ alongside releases on Tangent, Defunked and John B’s Chihuahua label in the early to mid-2000’s, you’d forgive the man if he wanted to ride off into the sunset content with life. But no, he then goes on to reinvent himself as the current king of the modern disco scene. Case in point, his new album he just released on Dave Lee’s (aka Joey Negro’s) Z Records, “Operation Disco”, opened as the number 1 album on Traxsource, Beatport AND Juno Download (all at the same time). Since 2013, he’s also released “must-have” jams on labels like DiscoDat, Hotbox Boogie, Editorial, Glitterbox and Salsoul, so you know the boys go deep into conversation about all this around stacks of funk, boogie, house, disco and nu disco jams to keep you hyped all day and night, including a special Shan Frenzie mega-mix of all Dr Packer choons.
