Carter is in his first year as a full-time play-by-play broadcaster for ESPN.

Carter previously worked as a sports reporter/anchor for Birmingham's CBS 42

from August 2019-2021. He has also called Minor League Baseball with the Auburn

Doubledays in 2018. Carter was the winner of the 2019 Jim Nantz Award by the

Sportscasters Talent Agency of America, as the most outstanding college

sportscaster in the nation. Carter is a 2019 graduate of Syracuse University's

S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
