Laura is an upcoming theatre maker based in Zwolle, the Netherlands. She studied at ArtEZ University of the Arts, where she completed the course of ArtistcourseArtist Educator in Theatre & Media in Zwolle. Her work is often socially engaged and centers on our human nature and the worlds and systems we build around us. Approaching these situations with a playful, open, and fresh perspective is what inspires her to create.
Her experience and practice are versatile: she has appeared as a performer in _‘’VERSUS’’_ for Theater Na de Dam with SubSub and in the opening performance ‘_’Bespiegelingen’’_ for the art festival Woest & Bijster. She has worked as a social community artist in Belfast for the Art & Conflict Transformation module and has interned at Theater De Makkers. One of her autonomous works is ‘_’Man in de Gracht’’_, a biographical research performance that highlights the story of an individual from Zwolle, discovered through curiosity.
