Episode 55 - Clipping (Removing Unnecessary Scenes)

Listen Later

In this episode, the two Matts go on a wacky time-traveling adventure, compare this episode's topic to getting a haircut, write a hypothetical story about a villain defeated by blackjack, and talk about clipping sections of a draft in our set about revising. What makes a scene so unnecessary that it needs to be clipped? How much or how little should be clipped? At what part of the draft should the author decide to clip sections out of the story? Why does Matt Donald have such an annoying sense of humor? We discuss it all, ironically clipping out none of the episode's content because it was all gold, and talk about older versions of Megazoic, newer versions of Megazoic, and some of Matt David's stories I guess.
