In 1998, Kazuo and Satomi Magoori were found murdered in their home in Hekinan, Japan, following a violent home invasion. Nearly ten years later, 31-year-old Rie Isogai was abducted and murdered in Nagoya. What initially appeared to be separate cases eventually became connected by a single piece of evidence.
