On November 7th, 1999 a couple checked in for two romantic nights at a Hampton Inn, but when they failed to check out after their second evening, hotel staff got involved and found the door to their hotel room was barricaded shut. A couple of hours and a few borderline incoherrant mumbles from the other side of the door, and the growing crowd of staff, family, and law enforcement outside of the door still had no idea what was going on.
