An Interceding Cupbearer

Nehemiah 1-7

God empowers His people to fulfill the mission He gives to them. Nehemiah brought the people together to rebuild the walls around Jerusalem so that the city might be protected from their enemies. But that protection was not permanent. Through Jesus's death and resurrection, God made a way for His people to be protected from the enemies of sin and death without end. 

Because we are protected and secure in Christ, we join with others to complete the kingdom work God has given us.
